Telephone consultation - Save yourself time! Many routine GP appointments can be dealt with by phone, as many of you have already discovered. Follow-up/ review following a previous consultation or investigation, simple health query or medication review; a phone consultation may be the answer.

Phone consultations are a simple, fast and convenient method of consulting. Every morning between 08:00 and 08:25 on 02392 412309 either Dr Harrison or Dr Caldwell is available. The receptionist answers your call, checks your telephone number is correct and the doctor will ring you back. Phone consultations can also be pre-booked into other routine surgery times.

Nurse Practitioner consultation. Our nurses have done extended training and manage the majority of diabetes, hypertension raised blood pressure, heart disease, asthma and other respiratory diseases. Every day our Nurse Practitioner (Yvonne) is available for "Nurse triage" - this is an easy access way to be seen for minor and even some of the more complex problems quickly and effectively. Yvonne has also done the extended prescribing course so prescriptions can be issued as needed, if a more detailed opinion is required then the doctor will also assess.
